ACP Engineering achieve Partner of the Year - Rising Star

ACP Engineering has been awarded the AWS Rising Star Consulting Partner award! In recognition of its exceptional growth and contributions as an AWS Advanced Partner in 2025. With over 7 years as an AWS APN Partner and 150+ successfully delivered projects, ACP Engineering has established itself as a leading cloud solutions provider in both Switzerland and with key global clients. The company maintains one of the largest AWS-certified teams in Switzerland, with deep expertise spanning cloud migration, modernisation, IoT implementations, secure connectivity solutions and most recently applying AI across these core specializations.

In early 2025 ACP Engineering joined ACP, a group that spans Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, and enables rapid growth across the entire DACH region

During Re:Invent week (1st - 4th December) we were able to share the news: we celebrated the award at the recent Code Thursday event in Sion, Switzerland hosted last week on the 4th December where the ACP Engineering team gathered with the local tech community. Below is a picture of the ACP Engineering team.

Manufacturing IoT Innovation: Delivered cutting-edge IoT solutions for the manufacturing sector, including AI-commanded mobile robot implementations and platform screen door monitoring systems for transportation infrastructure across Europe and Asia-Pacific, enabling real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance capabilities.
2. Cloud Connectivity Infrastructure: Launched ACP Engineering Connectivity in partnership with Init7, providing AWS Direct Connect to 2.6 million locations across Switzerland with scalable bandwidth from 50 Mbps to 100 Gbps, establishing a nationwide fabric of secure cloud connectivity points.
3. Cloud Foundations Solution: Introduced ACP Engineering Foundations as a turnkey solution for secure cloud adoption, delivering production-ready infrastructure with landing zones, CI/CD pipelines, and comprehensive security & governance frameworks, accelerating cloud transformation for enterprise clients.
4. Multi-Industry Digital Transformation: Successfully executed over 6 large projects across diverse sectors including financial services, telecommunications, manufacturing, and travel technology, implementing comprehensive cloud migrations, microservice architectures, and AI-powered monitoring solutions.
5. Strategic Partnership with ACP Group: Successfully completed acquisition and integration with ACP Group, positioning ACP Engineering as their AWS competency center and cloud transformation specialist across the DACH region, gaining access to 12,500 customers and 250+ customer-facing representatives.
6. Advanced Partner Certifications: Achieved both Datadog Advanced Partner status (June 2025) and RedHat Premium Partner certification, expanding capabilities in monitoring, security, and Kubernetes technologies while maintaining AWS Advanced Partner tier status with over 15 AWS-certified team members.
7. AWS Rising Star Recognition: Awarded the AWS Rising Star Consulting Partner of the Year 2025 in recognition of exceptional growth and contributions as an AWS Advanced Partner, validating 7+ years of AWS partnership and deep expertise spanning cloud migration, modernization, IoT implementations, and secure connectivity solutions.

A few weeks ago we can received a very secret box from AWS to only open on week of Re:Invent, so the suspense was high as to what was in this box from AWS ;)

And so last week we opened it finally sharing the news with the team!

Accompanied with the award was a small note from Antonio Alonso Lopez - Director of Partner Management in EMEA!

This year has been an exciting time for both ACP Engineering and AWS. In late summer, ACP Engineering, ACP Group, and AWS held a strategic workshop at ACP's Company Day in Fischingen, Switzerland. Attended by Richard Seppe and Stéphane Broquere from AWS along with 56k and ACP leadership, Rainer. This meeting was crucial for establishing how 56k.Cloud would function as AWS's competency centre within the ACP Group following the acquisition. The workshop addressed key partnership challenges, including activating ACP's 200+ account managers to promote AWS services, exploring whether ACP could become an AWS distributor and determining the go-to-market strategy that would combine ACP's traditional IT reseller model with 56k's cloud transformation expertise. The outcome established a framework where ACP Engineering would maintain its AWS Advanced Partner status while working to mobilise ACP's extensive customer base and sales force, with plans to leverage internal referral fees and develop packaged offerings that traditional sales teams could more easily sell. This collaboration set the foundation for scaling AWS services across ACP's 12,500 customer base throughout the DACH region.

Some history:

In 2019, we shared the same office building as the AWS Zurich team, this was when we formally started our AWS partnership. After which we quickly became an AWS Select Tier partner after recognizing the knowledge and projects the small team that Brian and I had built in 2019.

In 2023, after a few busy years we achieved AWS Advanced Partner tier, after growing the team and completing a number of large migrations with our key clients. We were not the first to be Advanced in Switzerland having been quite deep in projects we started to invest more across IoT, Migrations and SaaSification in our core competencies that the team had. What is next

In May 2025, ACP Engineering was acquired by the ACP Group, with ACP taking majority share ownership of ACP Engineering. This strategic partnership positions ACP Engineering as ACP's AWS competency center and cloud transformation specialist across the DACH region. The main focus on joint market objectives includes leveraging ACP's extensive network of 250+ customer-facing representatives and their 12,500 customers to scale AWS adoption, activating ACP's sales channels to promote cloud services, and combining ACP Engineering's deep technical expertise in Cloud native Technolgies across IoT, AI and cloud networking with ACP's traditional IT relationships. The expansion strategy focuses on maintaining ACP Engineering's brand identity and engineering-led culture while accessing ACP Group's resources and reach across Switzerland, Germany, and Austria. Key initiatives include establishing AWS reseller capabilities through distribution partnerships, developing packaged cloud offerings that ACP's sales teams can sell, and building out supporting roles in sales and operations to allow ACP Engineering's engineers to focus on complex technical challenges while pursuing larger enterprise transformation projects across the broader ACP customer base.
